house

Terry Osborne Pottery is located in an 1840's era brick farmhouse near the village of Lynden, Ontario.

Although Lynden is now a part of the new city of Hamilton , it retains its rural roots. In fact the pottery is located smack in the middle of a cornfield.

In the summer of 1982, Terry built the kiln with a little help from a few potting friends. Originally fired with propane, the kiln now is powered by natural gas. Loading the kiln with pots takes about 4 hours. The firing lasts 18 hours or so then the kiln is allowed to cool for two days.
